The McGuire Group is looking to add a Director of Education and Qualityto its this role youll lead and support quality improvement initiatives that enhance resident outcomes regulatory compliance and clinical excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and monitor Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives throughout the facility
- Conduct clinical audits to ensure compliance with CMS NYSDOH federal regulations and facility policies
- Track trend and analyze quality indicators including falls infections rehospitalizations pressure injuries and other clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement corrective action plans
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of best practices
- Assist with survey readiness activities and support regulatory inspections and audits
- Educate and mentor staff on quality measures documentation standards regulatory requirements and clinical best practices
- Participate in root cause analyses and performance improvement projects
- Monitor quality metrics and provide recommendations to improve resident outcomes and operational performance
- Maintain accurate records reports and quality improvement documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education requirement: Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum experience requirement: Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations NYSDOH requirements QAPI principles and the survey process
- Experience with clinical auditing data analysis and quality improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication organizational leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data identify trends and implement performance improvement strategies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance and resident-centered care
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and facility leadership
