Position Overview
We are seeking a strong hands-on Director of Compliance to lead all compliance licensing regulatory and quality assurance functions across our daycare preschool and school-age child care programs.
This individual will serve as the organizations compliance leader ensuring all locations remain fully compliant with Article 47 NYC Department of Health DOE OCFS CACFP and all applicable childcare regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive solutions-oriented leader who can identify compliance risks navigate inspections implement corrective actions and build systems that keep programs operating at the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead compliance across all daycare and preschool locations.
- Ensure compliance with Article 47 DOH DOE OCFS CACFP and SACC/SAAC requirements.
- Prepare for and manage inspections audits and licensing reviews.
- Conduct site visits compliance audits and operational reviews.
- Develop and maintain policies procedures and compliance systems.
- Train and support directors and staff on regulatory requirements.
- Monitor certifications documentation and regulatory deadlines.
- Investigate compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with leadership to maintain inspection-ready programs.
Qualifications
Required
- Leadership experience within daycare childcare preschool or early childhood programs.
- Qualified to serve as an Educational Director in New York State.
- Strong knowledge of Article 47 and NYC DOH daycare regulations.
- Experience with DOE CACFP OCFS and SACC/SAAC requirements.
- Experience managing inspections audits licensing and compliance reviews.
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
