Position Summary
Working in-person from CCAs Capital Campus in Harrisburg and under the direction of the Chief Branding and Government Relations Officer the Director of Communications manages the day-to-day operations of CCAs communications team and supports the execution of CCAs communications branding and public relations strategies.
The Director is responsible for managing communications staff coordinating projects and assignments overseeing content development and social media operations and ensuring communications are completed accurately consistently and on time. The Director works closely with the Chief Branding and Government Relations Officer to implement established communications priorities and maintain CCAs brand messaging and editorial standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and workflow of CCAs communications team.
- Supervise develop and evaluate communications staff including assigning responsibilities establishing deadlines managing workloads reviewing work and supporting professional development.
- Implement communications plans projects and campaigns in support of priorities and strategies established by the Chief Branding and Government Relations Officer.
- Coordinate the development of communications for internal and external audiences.
- Manage the development of press releases media materials articles talking points and other public-facing content for review and approval as appropriate.
- Manage CCAs day-to-day social media operations including content planning creation scheduling monitoring and performance analysis.
- Coordinate with departments across CCA to identify and develop stories photographs graphics videos and other content featuring students families staff programs services accomplishments and initiatives.
- Manage communications calendars workflows assignments and deadlines to ensure projects are coordinated and completed efficiently.
- Review communications and content produced by communications staff for accuracy quality consistency appropriate tone and adherence to established brand and editorial standards.
- Monitor media coverage social media activity and emerging communications issues and promptly elevate significant matters to the Chief Branding and Government Relations Officer.
- Track communications and social media performance and provide data analysis and recommendations to support communications planning and decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office and communications equipment and technology.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to lift squat sit bend and/or stand as necessary. Ability to travel to other sites and locations as needed.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in communications public relations journalism marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in communications public relations media relations journalism marketing communications or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple communications projects assignments and deadlines.

- Valid PA Drivers License
- Appropriate Automobile Insurance Coverage
- Must be able to commute to a Family ServiceCenter regardless ofcommutecomplexity.
- Candidates must reside within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
