Job Summary
Position: Director of Airport Operations
Location: Tulsa OK
Duration: Full Time / Permanent
Salary: $115k-$125k (25% bonus)
Reports To: Regional Vice President of Airport Operations
Status: Exempt
Department: Operations
Broad Functions:
- Lead and oversee airport operations business focusing on delivering exceptional results building a great culture developing future leaders and maintaining strong client relationships. Ensure the achievement of financial operational and guest service objectives while fostering a best-in-class work environment.
Mandatory:
- 7 years experience in upper management (Director and above)
- 7 years experience leadership in food beverage and retail operations
- 7 years experience in upper management overseeing 15 locations
- Airport operations (food beverage retail) experience (Director and above)
- Airport experience with HMS Host SSP OTG Aramark Compass etc
- Union management experience
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed business unit expectations in financial performance people management client satisfaction and business partner relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to create a best-in-class culture where team members are valued appreciated and driven to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Identify mentor and develop the areas future leaders ensuring a strong leadership pipeline.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and brand compliance across all operations.
- Manage and optimize budgets to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Ensure strict adherence to brand standards across all locations.
- Serve as a visible and transparent leader in daily floor operations within the airport.
- Create and execute action plans to address retention turnover and overall employee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop and implement business strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee staffing requirements and budget guidelines in conjunction with annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with airport badging requirements through daily termination notifications.
- Optimize schedules and ensure payroll compliance across all operations while using the workforce management tool.
- Work with team members to maintain high-quality storefronts and ensure timely store openings.
- Interface with Legal Human Resources Loss Prevention Business Development
- Finance and other business units in the daily affairs of the operation.
- Act as a corporate representative for public relations activities as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team including Assistant
- Directors and Concept Managers.
- Set clear goals and hold team members accountable for delivering results.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to direct reports.
- Address and resolve associate relations matters promptly and effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Hospitality or related field. Masters degree a plus.
- 7 years of experience in upper management of food beverage and retail operations handling multiple locations (15).
- Proven track record of successfully running a multi-million-dollar business.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze and optimize business performance.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on developing and motivating teams.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive high-performance culture.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant business software.
- Outstanding strategic planning and execution abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills for budget management business analysis and risk assessment.
- Exceptional time management organization and project management skills.
