Director of Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including general ledger AP/AR purchasing payroll tax and financial reporting
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Review financial statements reconciliations journal entries and supporting schedules
• Strengthen internal controls accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial metrics and projections to the CFO
• Support budgeting forecasting tax compliance and special projects
• Oversee biweekly payroll payroll taxes reconciliations and year-end reporting
• Assist with system implementations and company-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• CPA strongly preferred
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience including leadership or management responsibility
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting payroll taxation and internal controls
• Self-starter who takes initiative and full ownership of the accounting function
• Organized dependable and comfortable working independently
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive team-oriented approach
