Summary ofrole:
GFis seeking a Director of Internal& ExecutiveCommunicationsto leadthe companys global internal and executive communications strategyacross all internal channelsin support of business priorities.This role owns how strategy performancepeopleprogramsandchangeare communicated to employeesacross digital and in-person channels including email executive broadcasts enterprise platforms digitalsignageand emerging AIenabled tools.
Reporting to the Head ofCommunications &Marketingthis role will serve as a trusted communications advisor tothe CEO executiveteamand HR leadership.The roleshapesmessaging that connects enterprise priorities tothe employeeexperienceand supports cultureengagementand organizational effectiveness.
This role requires a digitally forwardthinking leader who brings deep experience in digital employee experience modern channel ecosystems and the practical application of AI to enable teams scale content and improve effectiveness. Candidates mustdemonstratehandson experience evolving internal communications through digital platforms and tools; this capability is essential to success in therole.
Thedirector leads a global employee communications team including site-based communicators and drives enterprise standards for qualityconsistencyand execution. The role is accountable for end-to-end planning content development channel strategymeasurementand continuous improvement.
Essentialresponsibilities:
Digital employee experience and modern communication ecosystem
Evolve the companys digital employee experience ensuring employees can easily findunderstandand act on key information across platforms and environments.
Lead the designoptimizationand integration of internal communications platforms (intranet email executive broadcast digitalsignageand emerging tools) improving reach usability and effectiveness across office and frontline populations.
Apply AI and automation to scale content creation streamlineworkflowsand generate insights that enable a lean high-performing global team.
Establish enterprise standards for channel strategy contentdistributionand platform governance.
Continuously improve effectiveness through dataexperimentationand employee feedback driving measurable gains in reachengagementand comprehension
Global employee communications strategy and governance
Own and execute the global employee communications strategy including an annual communications calendar and enterprise governance to prioritize coordinate and sequence high-impact communications.
Maintain internal messaging standardsvoice brand andeditorial quality across channels and sites to improve consistency and reduce noise.
Build scalable processes that enable a lean team to deliver high-quality communications with speed and discipline.
Team leadership across sites
Lead and develop a global employee communications team includingexecutiveandsite-based communicators setting standards for qualityconsistencyand execution.
Enable local communications teams to tailor messages for site audiences whilemaintainingenterprise consistency andOneGFalignment.
Executive and leader-ledcommunications
Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to shape messaging on strategy performancecultureand leadership priorities for internal audiences.
Develop executive communications such as talking points scripts presentations and written updates for internal forums and employee-facingevents.
Provide counsel on tonetimingand audience impact for sensitive or high-visibility internal communications.
Flagship moments and internal events
Lead flagship internal communicationsmoments includingquarterlyall-handshosted by theexecutiveteamexecutivebriefingsand major companywide announcements from content development through execution and follow-up measurement.
Own post-event analysis and insight generation to continuously improve relevance clarity and engagement.
HR partnership and people program communications
Partner with HR leadership to communicatepeopleprograms culture initiatives organizational updates and employee experience priorities with clarity and credibility.
Support HR-led engagement and recognition initiatives ensuring cohesive global narratives withappropriate localand site-level activation.
Change programsintegrationsand enterprise initiatives
Drive employee communications for major milestones and change programs including integrations organizationalupdatesand enterprise initiatives with clear timelines and coordinated messaging across sites.
Developchangecommunications plans with sequencing leader toolkitsFAQsand site-based rollout coordination.
Measurementinsightsand continuous improvement
Oversee measurement and insight generation for internal communications including survey designanalysisand executive-level readouts using data to improve effectiveness.
Define and track metrics such as reach engagementcomprehensionand sentiment and translate findings into clear recommendations.
Vendoragencyand tool management
Manage agency and vendor relationships related to employee communications platforms events and tools including scope timelines and deliverables.
Otherresponsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Requiredqualifications:
Bachelors degree incommunicationsor related field.
15 years of experience in internal communications executivecommunicationsor related fields with progressive leadership responsibility
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of executive and employee communications thatdemonstrateclarityjudgmentand strong voice.
Experience leading communications in complex global organizations with diverse employee populations including manufacturing or frontline audiences.
Demonstratedexpertisein modern digital communication platforms and analytics tools that support digital employee experience.
Digital and AI capability is essential:Demonstrated hands-on experience applying AI-enabled tools or automation to improve internal communications effectiveness enable lean teams and scale content and insights.
Proven ability to lead a lean high-performing team through prioritization operating discipline and strong cross-functional partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience leading employee communications throughintegrations organizationalchangeor enterprise transformation.
Experience building measurement frameworks and executive readouts for internal communications.
Experience managing vendors supporting employee experience communicationsplatformsor internal channel ecosystems.
Experience working in technologymanufacturingor global B2B environments is preferred.
Expected Salary Range
$152000.00 - $266000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications experience and location.
