This role serves as the primary accountability holder for contractual compliance site operations staff leadership and participant outcomes. The Director ensures that services are delivered in alignment with LAHSA program standards the Inside Safe Scope of Required Services Housing First principles trauma-informed care and Harm Reduction position is 100% on site and requires the Director to split their time equally or as needed between two Interim Housing Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the primary site leader for The Dusk Hotel and Las Palmas Hotel accountable for all daily operations across both Inside Safe program sitesEnsure physical sites are safe well-maintained and compliant with LAHSA Facility Standards health codes and habitability requirementsManage motel/hotel operator relationships including ongoing coordination on room availability unit conditions maintenance requests pest control and safety concernsMaintain comprehensive habitability documentation and proactively advocate with property owners and the City to address site concernsProvide on-call coverage for site emergencies as neededMonitor and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Scope of Required Services requirements under the Inside Safe programEnsure timely and accurate HMIS data entry across all program functionsOversee program compliance with LAHSAs Interim Housing Exit and Termination Standards including documentation of Transition Plans and Exit SummaryEnsure all exit records are completed with accurate exit destination data;Ensure required incident reports are submitted to LAHSA and The Mayors Office in accordance with contract requirementsCoach staff to apply Housing First Harm Reduction and Trauma-Informed Care frameworks to every interaction with clientsProvide crisis intervention when necessary and follow up on all client grievance submissionsDevelop effective trusting relationships with participants using a client-centeredOversee distribution of weekly meal gift cardsMaintain and enforce emergency response protocolsEnsure staff are trained and supported in de-escalation and conflict resolutionMonitor data quality metrics and provide coaching and corrective action to staff as needed to ensure documentation standards are metProvide ongoing supervision coaching mentorship and professional development to all direct and indirect reportsCultivate a healthy inclusive and supportive team culture that prioritizes psychological safety and staff retentionFacilitate weekly individual supervision and team meetingsLead by example: demonstrate accountability professionalism and deep commitment to the missionLiaise with LAHSA the Mayors Office city and county departments law enforcement housing authorities and other outside stakeholdersEnsure implementation of all agency initiatives and alignment of project work with broader agency and departmental strategyCommunicate effectively and in a timely manner with management peers funders and clientsOther duties as assignedJob Description Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED or EquivalentMinimum two (2) years of supervisory experienceStrong working knowledge of HMIS (Clarity)Skilled in non-violent crisis interventionStrong computer skills including all Microsoft Office programsExcellent written verbal organizational and presentation skillsAbility to self-motivate prioritize effectively and operate with minimal supervisionAbility to be on-call for emergenciesCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with strong time managementJob Description Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degreeExperience overseeing multi-site program operationsExperience with LAHSA funded programsMinimum two (2) years of case management experienceExperience managing government contracts and navigating funder relationshipsJob Description Work Environment:This role operates in a fast-paced dynamic environment across active motel-based interim housing sites serving individuals who may be navigating mental health challenges substance use and trauma simultaneously.
