Job Summary

Responsible for driving Market Access Strategy and pricing strategy for the diverse inline and pipeline Eye Care portfolio of products across all payer channels (e.g. Commercial Medicare Medicaid and VA).  These diverse products span retail specialty physician administered and procedural products. This role requires a keen understanding of buy/bill dynamics including knowledge of Part B landscape inclusive of Fee for Service MACs Medicare Advantage billing and coding.  In addition this individual will be required to effectively orchestrate communication and alignment across US Market Access channel teams Legal HEOR Medical as well as serve as the subject matter expert for the Eye Care Integrated Brand Team (three IBTs).  Leverage data analytics and strong strategic mind-set in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business.  These analytics should be leveraged to drive access across all US Payers and to inform LRP Plan and LBE forecasts.  Lastly this role will be responsible for the successful launch of AbbVies first gene therapy SuraVec inclusive of pricing distribution access and lead the Market Access alliance with RegenexBio .  At all times this individual will be required to provide positive leadership and influence cultural alignment with US Market Access ambitious cultural vision.

Major responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop payer positioning and pricing strategies for multiple Eye Care brands with focus on device and medical reimbursement across all payer channels and for highly competitive inline and pipeline assets.
  • Lead launch of SuraVec inclusive of pricing distribution payer access and serve as the Market Access alliance lead with RegenexBio.
  • This individual will contribute to the strategic financial planning for multiple brands through the LRP Plan and LBE.
  • Formulate and adjust Market Access business plans and actions to achieve Eye Care Franchise business and financial market access objectives and goals.
  • Serve on multiple Joint Commercial Committees to drive market access strategic alignment and business priorities.
  • Lead multiple brand payer value propositions throughout the brand lifecycle by collaborative leadership on HEOR and RWE needs gaps and priorities.
  • Proactively monitor and engage on government and/or payer policy that has the potential to affect access to AbbVies Eye Care franchise.
  • Focus on and triangulate market dynamics constituents needs and business priorities to determine best market-advantaged course of action.
  • This individual will effectively orchestrate communication and drive strategic alignment across multiple stakeholders and leadership teams such as the Market Access Leadership Team multiple Brand Teams Account Management teams and across multiple HEOR MOSL Medical Reimbursement Advisor Teams MABI Finance Sales and Government Affairs/Advocacy teams.
  • Encouraging and demonstrating an enterprise approach through best practice curiosity learning and sharing
  • Develop end of life cycle strategies for drops businesses inclusive of direct to patient.
  • The person will demonstrate a One AbbVie mindset and perspective in all strategies.

 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Demonstrated team leadership
  • Market Access and Marketing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Health Economics and Real World Evidence
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated cross-functional experience
  • Understanding of reimbursement payer environment environmental risks and National Account customers valued.
  • Experience in multiple channels and reimbursement modalities valued:  buy and bill retail specialty institutional and government
  • Positive solutions-oriented attitude

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of thisposting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
