Job Summary

The Director Corporate Development plays a pivotal role in guiding the companys growth investment decisions and strategic initiatives in the energy industry. This role is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that support our long-term corporate strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and maintenance of relationships with key industry stakeholders and partners to strengthen strategic positioning.
  • Identifies potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) partnerships and investment targets that align with growth objectives.
  • Ensures active and prospective targets/opportunities are accounted for and tracked.
  • Analyzes market trends competitive landscapes policy developments and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provides actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on market intelligence and analysis.
  • Maintains and utilizes company database and AI platforms to track customer engagement and prepare detailed reports findings and strategic recommendations.
  • Communicates the companys strategic vision and objectives effectively to internal teams and external partners to foster alignment and engagement.
  • Supports leadership in the development and refinement of the companys long-term strategic plan.
  • Collaborates with finance colleagues on preparation of financial models and presentation materials that support investment decisions capital allocation and performance tracking.
  • Evaluates investment opportunities using financial metrics such as ROI NPV and IRR to ensure optimal returns.
  • Assists with due diligence processes and conducts financial analysis to evaluate the viability and impact of potential transactions.
  • Conducts risk assessments scenario analysis and market research to anticipate challenges and opportunities in the energy sector.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Skilled in cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with industry partners stakeholders and key decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking problem-solving and critical evaluation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Understanding of energy market dynamics with a focus on hydrocarbon transportation and logistics.
  • Experience in corporate development strategic planning and business development within the energy sector.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively prioritizing multiple initiatives and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling forecasting and quantitative analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Strong ability and experience in developing PowerPoint presentation materials.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business finance economics or a related field
  • 5 years of corporate development M&A business development and/or investment banking experience

Physical Demands and Hazards for Office Employees:
