DIRECTOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY Campus Services and Stewardship (CSS) provides strategic and operational leadership for CSS business systems and technology portfolio; leads business applications solution architecture systems integration modernization and technology investments in a complex enterprise environment; translates business and operational needs into integrated technology strategies determining appropriate use of enterprise platforms third-party solutions integrations and customization; oversees solutions from design and vendor selection through implementation adoption support and continuous improvement; partners with IS&T BDTO vendors and stakeholders to advocate for CSS priorities improve efficiency reduce risk and advance MITs ERP transformation.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in information systems business technology computer science or a related field; a minimum often years of progressive experience in business systems enterprise applications IT leadership or technology management in complex cross-functional environments; experience defining and executing enterprise systems strategy and multi-year technology roadmaps including large-scale implementations; experience managing a diverse portfolio of enterprise commercial and custom-developed business applications including technology planning prioritization and lifecycle management; experience evaluating technology solutions managing software vendors negotiating technology contracts and overseeing technology investments; ability to lead managers and influence senior stakeholders; understanding of enterprise applications system integration application lifecycle management and IT service delivery; understanding of financial operational and administrative business processes and how technology enables organizational performance; communication and leadership skills with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and communicate technical concepts; sound judgment problem-solving and decision-making skills. PREFERRED: Masters degree; and experience supporting complex operational environments (e.g. facilities capital programs utilities or other asset-intensive organizations).

Position has a hybrid schedule at least 2 days on-site.
