Job Summary
DESCRIPTION: We are accepting applications for a Directed Study Paraprofessional who supervises students in grades 11 and 12 as they work independently to complete their academic and vocational coursework. Directed Studies paraprofessionals are expected to manage the classroom ensure that students are working quietly and engaged and they monitor students grades to help students prioritize their assignments if needed.
POSITION SUMMARY: What are the major responsibilities of this position
Supports students to complete assigned academic and vocational coursework
Supports students by checking and monitoring grades while prioritizing assignments for completion
Manages classroom to ensure a quiet and focused environment
Hours: 7am-3pm
SKILLS REQUIRED: What are the skills necessary for this position
Proficiency using SchoolBrains and Google Classroom for data collection and analysis
Excellent communication skills both with students and adults
Strong organizational skills
Classroom management skills
