Prosper Community Care Services provides 24-hour Supportive Living services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) under the Arkansas Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) CES Waiver program.
We are seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and skill-building support in a group residential setting. DSPs are responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence dignity safety and community integration in accordance with DDS Provider Standards and Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSP).
Responsibilities
Become familiar with each individuals medical needs diagnoses medications strengths and support needs
Implement goals and objectives outlined in the Individualized Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP)
Support daily routines and structured schedules
Assist individuals with independent living skills including budgeting shopping meal preparation hygiene laundry and housekeeping
Maintain a clean safe and organized home environment
Accompany individuals into the community for age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate activities
Support positive behavior strategies and follow approved Behavior Support Plans (if applicable)
Collect required behavioral data when applicable
Assist with medication administration in accordance with DDS policy and training
Ensure medications are stored securely and administered correctly
Complete accurate daily progress notes and service documentation
Maintain open communication with supervisors team members case managers and other stakeholders
Attend team meetings and provide relevant updates on progress and concerns
Report incidents immediately and complete required Critical Incident Reports per DDS standards
Maintain confidentiality and protect participant rights under HCBS guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum age of 18
Valid Drivers License
Reliable transportation with current liability auto insurance
Ability to pass:
Arkansas State Police background check
Adult & Child Maltreatment Registry checks
Drug screening
CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to complete required DDS pre-service and annual training
Preferred:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Ability to manage crises calmly and professionally
Training Requirements
Completion of all required training
Annual in-service training hours as required
Ongoing training in best practices for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
