Are you an outgoing cheerful person passionate about making a difference in others lives We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dynamic team! As a DSP you will support and encourage individuals with disabilities helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Encouraging Social Interaction - Plan and participate in social and recreational activities that promote engagement and interaction ensuring clients have fun and feel included.
- Empower Independence: Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve personal goals offering guidance and encouragement along the way
- Build Relationships: Develop trusting relationships with clients understanding their unique needs preferences and personalities.
- Provide Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments community events and social gatherings ensuring they have opportunities to explore and engage with their community.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records of client progress incidents and services provided ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support Daily Living Skills: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene meal preparation and household tasks fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
- Money Management
- Note: This Client has a small friendly service dog.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as a DSP DCW CNA and Home Health Aide
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to connect with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Patience empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation: $19.00 per hour
