Direct Support Professional (DSP) Day Program

What Youll Actually Do

• Lead hands-on group activities that support learning confidence and independence
• Teach and reinforce practical life skills social skills communication and choice-making
• Support community outings volunteer activities and recreational experiences
• Encourage and coach individuals as they work toward personal goals
• Provide personal care including restroom hygiene eating and mobility support
• Provide behavioral support and use trained de-escalation techniques when needed
• Follow individualized service and behavior support plans
• Drive company vehicles for outings and community activities
• Complete accurate electronic documentation related to goals progress and daily activities
• Prepare clean and reset program areas and work closely with your team to maintain a safe and supportive environment

Your Experience Matters

Were looking for candidates who already have some hands-on experience supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.  Relevant experience may include work as a DSP Behavior Technician/RBT paraprofessional respite provider job coach community support professional or similar human services role.

Qualifications :

What Youll Need

• At least 6 months of experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive a company van
• Experience with direct support personal care behavioral support or skill development
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in an active changing environment

Experience in an adult day program group home behavioral program or community-based setting is a plus.
