Direct Support Professional (AT-JD)

Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services to a woman in her late 30s in Fulton NY.

The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings while her family receives a well-deserved respite. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting with transportation support during community outings/events and assistance with increasing independent living skills.

We are looking for individuals who are dependable patient enthusiastic and that can provide clear and direct expectations of services. DSP should feel comfortable participating in physical activities trying new experiences and helping her explore activities of her interest. Applicants must be comfortable working around dogs and cats. A love for Karaoke is a plus!

Reliable transportation valid NYS drivers license and a HS diploma/GED are required. All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training course online; the training rate is $17/hour.

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Hours: No early morning; Days and Times to be determined for the right fit. Up to 10 hours per week.
