Dimensional Engineer

As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Youll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

In this position...

In this critical role you will leverage advanced innovative modeling programs and techniques to optimize our overall manufacturing processes. This involves leading the development of tolerance analysis and vehicle program support work plans.

What youll do...

• Lead tolerance analysis modeling and reporting
• Lead technicians in the metrology lab and factory floor executing the control plan
• Drive improvements in Pp/PpK from the tools and supplier parts
• Provide geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support
• Support appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution
• Support related dimensional control elements (locators checking fixtures etc.) as needed

Youll have...

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering mathematics or related.
• 3 or more years of dimensional control experience

Even better you may have...

• Production experience in the manufacture or assembly of vehicle systems (body trim and chassis)
• Experience developing and analyzing GD&T
• Expertise in developing and analyzing locating strategies for body trim and chassis systems
• Experience with CAD systems and different metrology equipment (CMM scanner perceptron vision)
• Background performing finite element analysis (FEA)
• Strong communication organizational analytical and problem-solving skills

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84480-$141360.
