Job Summary

Koniag Data Solutions LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Digital Systems Archivist with a Secret security clearance to support KDS and our government customer at Fort McNair Washington DC. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health dental and vision insurance 401K with company matching flexible spending accounts paid holidays three weeks paid time off and U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH) seeks Digital Systems Specialists to support the administration optimization and AI-readiness of its large-scale digital collections within the AHRO-C and AHRO-U platforms. CMHs holdings exceed 150 million files with monthly growth of approximately 10000 files. These collections are critical to CMHs mission to preserve and provide access to the Armys historical record and to respond rapidly to Requests for Information (RFIs).The specialists will deliver expertise in digital systems administration database optimization metadata processing workflow automation user training analytics and executive dashboard development to ensure these collections are organized discoverable and high Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Digital Systems Management & Data Organization:Manage and organize AHRO-C and AHRO-U digital collectionsHelp organize and structure digital collections by creating and maintaining clear systems for how information is labeled and stored (metadata and indexing).Support the management and upkeep of digital storage systems to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently making it easier to find and preserve content over storage allocation and support data migration activitiesDigital Content Processing & Integration:Process and integrate new digital materials into AHRO platformsMap and transform metadata for ingestionConduct data validation version control and backup managementBorn-Digital Data Management:Process born-digital content from Military History Detachments (MHDs)Validate compliance with technical and classification requirementsImplement indexing tagging and metadata enrichment processesDigital Research & System Operations:Support the CMH RFI cell with advanced search and retrieval capabilitiesMaintain search indexes and discovery toolsDocument system search methodologiesAnalytics & Dashboard Development:Collect and analyze performance metrics and usage statisticsMaintain executive dashboards for leadershipGenerate automated reports on collection growth utilization and engagementRecommend system performance optimizationsRequired Qualifications:Masters degree in Library Science (MLS) or related field from an accredited institutionMinimum 2 years experience with digital collection systems and database managementExperience with metadata systems digital content management and database administrationProven experience with large-scale digital systems and data workflowsAbility to obtain and maintain SECRET clearanceMust be a U.S. citizenClearance Requirement:Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearancePreferred Qualifications:Professional certifications (e.g. SAA Digital Archives Specialist Microsoft Oracle)Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI)Familiarity with federal information systems and DoD classification standardsKnowledge of AHRO or similar military digital collection platformsAnalytics data visualization and dashboard development experienceOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
