Job Summary

At Getty Digitalwerere-imagining how we can use data software and systems to provide a seamless and welcoming experience for Getty visitors both on-site and online. This position playsa central rolein this effort by managing complex technical projects to advance Gettys work.This is a three-year limited term position.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join the Portfolio Project Management Office (PPMO) team within Getty Digital for a limited term employment of three years. This position reports to the PPMO Manager and works closely with the Digital Visitor Experience Director project leads and staff from across the organizationincluding productmanagers engineers and subject-matter experts to implement innovative solutions that address our user and business needs(crossorganizational interface at the leadership level).

This role will support an evolving constellationofprojects thatsupportanenterprise-wideinitiativetoimprovethe visitor experiencefrom firstclickto lifelongrelationship.Inaugural projectsfor this positionwill includeDigital Signage improvements tofundraisingsystemsand projects at the intersection of andwebapplicationsthat help people engage with Getty online andon-site.In partnership with project leads the project manager will help structure and runprojects from start to finish fromdiscoverythroughimplementation. Activities willincludecoordinating sequencingsupportingalignment discussions and governance activitiesmanaging vendor contractsand guidingand managingsteering and working groups.The project manager is a key role that ensuresproject teams have what they need tomove workforward.Gettyis dedicated to furthering the study of the history of art advancing conservation practice and promoting public knowledge and appreciation of art. This position is a hybrid work environment opportunity; this is not a permanent remote assignment.The successful candidate must be a California resident when employment beginsresidewithin a commutable distance of Getty and must work at least one day per week on Gettys campus.

Major Job Responsibilities
  • Performs the full range of project management duties: initiating planning executingmonitoringand controlling and closing
  • In close partnership with project leads supports projects requiringhigh levelsof functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects with complex interdependencies
  • Track coordinate plan and report on technical work across multiple teams and organizations
  • Collaborate with other project managersboth within and outside the organization
  • Collaborate with software engineers systemadministratorsand subject-matter experts
  • Facilitate and support discussions and negotiations to drive recommendation consensus
  • Implement management and communication plans and processes
  • Communicate with partners and team members throughout the phases of development
  • Maintain project documentationtime frames budgetestimatesand status reports
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the budget. Address cost overruns and budgetary issues promptly
  • Develop and implement change management strategies in partnership with the change management analyst to ensure project success
  • Identifypotential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Address unexpected issues that may arise during the project. Implement effective problem-solving and escalation procedures
  • Prepare post-project reports including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects
  • Regularly prepare presentations and/or present on this workto internal and external audiences
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive software analysis development and implementation experience
  • 2-5 years IT project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified completion of a Project Management program or certification in processis stronglydesired
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of CRM CMS and other visitor-facing practice and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to productively assemble engage and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders external partners and senior management
  • Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships
  • Proficiencyin project management software and tools (e.g. Workfront Asana Jira)
  • Tact diplomacy and ability to work with a wide variety of audiences including the ability to quickly develop good working relationships within a large organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Willingness and ability to travel
