Job Summary

To support this mission Syngentas Operations & Trialing team is seeking a Digital Product Owner. This role will be responsible for defining delivering and continuously enhancing digital products that support enterprise strategy development portfolio management and operational planning.

The Digital Product Owner acts as the primary interface between business planning stakeholders and technical delivery teams ensuring that digital solutions enable data-driven decision-making scenario planning resource optimization and execution alignment.

A key focus of this role is the design and delivery of operational planning tools and capabilities that enable the organization to translate strategy into executable plans. This encompasses supporting resource allocation capacity planning execution tracking and operational decision-making across global and regional teams.

The Product Owner owns the product roadmap and backlog for planning-focused digital capabilities ensuring alignment with strategic priorities planning cycles and measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and evolve the product vision strategy and roadmap for digital solutions supporting enterprise strategy portfolio management and operational planning.
  • Lead the design and delivery of operational planning tools featuring resource/capacity planning execution frameworks workflow orchestration and scenario modeling.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear epics user stories and acceptance criteria; prioritize the backlog based on business value and planning impact.
  • Serve as the strategic interface between planning stakeholders (Strategy Operations Finance Analytics) and technical delivery teams driving alignment on priorities and adoption.
  • Deliver integrated planning capabilities encompassing scenario simulation portfolio prioritization plan-vs.-actual tracking and dynamic re-planning across global teams.
  • Lead Agile product execution at scale covering backlog refinement sprint/PI planning cross-team dependency management and acceptance of delivered features.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making by enabling resource visibility forecasting improvements KPI monitoring and alignment with enterprise data governance standards.

Qualifications :

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must reside in and be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. This comprises but is not limited to OPT CPT and H-1B visa holders.

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Agriculture Business Finance Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Product Ownership Product Management or a related leadership role within a complex data-driven enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience delivering digital products that support:
    • Strategic planning.
    • Portfolio management.
    • Operational planning and execution.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Portfolio and program management.
    • Operational planning processes (capacity resource execution planning).
    • Data-driven decision-support systems.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum SAFe LeSS etc.).
  • Experience in agricultural scientific R&D or similarly complex technical domains is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within highly specialized data-intensive environments and engage credibly with scientific and planning stakeholders.

Additional Information :

Salary for this position ranges between $114000 - $163000 annually.
