Position Summary
UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media invites applications for a half-time temporary Communications/ Marketing Assistant. The responsibilities of this role are as follows: The Digital Media Coordinator ( DMC ) will be responsible for creating the graphic designs and coordinating the social media campaign for the 2026 edition of Converge-Con UNC Hussmans annual conference that explores the rapid convergence of human skills with artificial intelligence. The DMC will work with the Converge-Con director to shape the brand and visual identity of the event and execute the vision by creating graphics video and copy. As the leader of the social media campaign the DMC will also work with stakeholders to create a sizable presence for Converge-On on various platforms including Instagram TikTok YouTube and LinkedIn. The DMC will also ensure that the social media content is updated regularly and track engagement through analytics.
