About the Team

Cloudflares Customer Engineering (CE) organization works side-by-side with our Sales teams to guide customers through their digital transformation. Customer Engineers are trusted advisors who help prospects and customers connect Cloudflares platform to real-world outcomes.

Digital Customer Engineers (DCE) are a specialized part of this team engaging directly with mid-market and commercial customers across the Asia Pacific region. DCEs run a high-reach digital-first motion covering many accounts through demos discovery calls scaled onboarding and 1:many adoption programs. They deliver product demonstrations conduct discovery sessions build technical alignment and ensure customers understand how Cloudflare can solve their challenges at scale. DCEs work primarily through digital channels collaborating closely with Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) across multiple markets to engage new prospects and help existing customers move forward in their journey with Cloudflare.

  • Collaboration: Youll work hand-in-hand with Sales Marketing Product and Customer Success teams to help new audiences discover Cloudflare and to guide customers through evaluation and adoption.
  • Innovation and scale: Youll contribute to campaigns digital events and scalable technical content that expand Cloudflares reach and help more organizations benefit from our platform.

What Youll Do

  • Lead technical discovery and validation across a high volume of pre-sales opportunities: demos proof-of-concepts RFP/RFI and solution design.
  • Drive scaled onboarding for new customers through standard playbooks group sessions and self-serve resources.
  • Run 1:many adoption and consumption programs (webinars digital events office hours and targeted campaigns) to help customers get more value from Cloudflare.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear outcome-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reusable demo assets scripts and reference solution designs to scale team effectiveness.
  • Stay current on Cloudflare products Internet technologies and competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • 3 years in a technical presales solutions engineering consulting or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet fundamentals (HTTP/S DNS TLS networking concepts APIs).
  • Experience with Zero Trust frameworks SASE architectures or cloud security platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting or development (Python JavaScript Go Bash) and comfortable with APIs/CLIs.
  • Proven ability to engage customers directly: running demos whiteboarding solutions handling objections and explaining complex concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Comfortable using modern productivity and AI tools to scale personal output across a high volume of accounts.
  • Comfortable working across multiple markets and time zones in the APAC region.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with SaaS security CDN networking or developer platform vendors.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud providers (AWS Azure GCP) and modern app architectures (serverless containers microservices).
  • Understanding of common application security risks (e.g. CSRF XSS SQLi) and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with regulatory or compliance frameworks (SOC-2 PCI DSS HIPAA GDPR).
  • Track record of building reusable assets such as demo environments reference architectures or presales tooling.
  • Experience with customer adoption onboarding or scaled Customer Success programs.
