• Provide medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment diagnosis intervention monitoring and evaluation) and document in the electronic medical record
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans including diet modifications supplements nutrition support and patient education
• Monitor patient progress using clinical indicators (labs weight outcomes) and adjust care plans accordingly
• Deliver nutrition education to patients families staff and community using tailored materials and approaches
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsparticipatein rounds/meetings and communicate with providers tooptimizecare
• Support training of staff students and new hires; contribute to policy updates and quality improvement initiatives

Education:

• After January 1 2024 - Masters degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1 2024 are eligible with aBachelorsdegree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Experience:

• Preferred: One year of experience as an acute clinical dietitian for entry level practice or 3 years experience as an acute dietitian for advanced level practice.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Lic Dietitian - Must hold a current license or certification specific to the state of employment

• Preferred: Board Certification Specialty from CDR in:
  • Oncology Nutrition
  • Gerontology Nutrition
  • Renal Nutrition
  • Pediatrics Critical Care Nutrition
• IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within90 daysof hire.
• IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within90 daysof hire.
