Job Summary

A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking an experienced Dietetic Technician for an 8-week contract assignment. The selected candidate will support daily nutrition services operations assist with dietary management and help ensure accurate coordination of patient nutritional needs within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparation and management of patient nutrition plans
  • Support feeding management systems and dietary documentation
  • Coordinate with clinical and dietary teams regarding patient nutritional needs
  • Maintain food safety sanitation and compliance standards
  • Utilize electronic systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and tracking
  • Ensure accuracy in nutritional calculations and meal preparation support
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff patients and families
  • Support overall nutrition services workflow within the hospital environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital nutrition-related experience OR enrollment in an approved nutrition education program
  • Active Food Safety Certification required at submission
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic feeding management systems
  • Strong mathematical organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Student or background in Nutrition or related healthcare field preferred
