Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our this role you will play a key part in preparing nutritious appealing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements
- Ensure food is cooked held and stored at proper temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
- Follow portion control standards and food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with dietary aides and nursing staff to accommodate special diets
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of food supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living kitchen preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing facility
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
