Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to inspect diagnose repair and maintain diesel engines and related systems in trucks buses heavy equipment or other diesel-powered vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

This is for 2nd shift 3:00pm - 2:00am

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect diagnose and repair diesel engines transmissions and other mechanical systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services on diesel vehicles and equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical hydraulic and fuel system issues

  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper repair and functionality

  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and issues

  • Order parts and assist in inventory management as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

  • Communicate with service advisors or customers regarding repairs and timelines

  • Keep work area clean and organized

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or diesel mechanic certification preferred

  • 2 years of experience as a diesel technician or similar role

  • Strong understanding of diesel engines fuel systems electrical systems and diagnostic tools

  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills

  • Valid drivers license; CDL may be required or preferred
