Job Summary:

***Looking for prior experience working as a mechanic on diesel equipment and someone that can read electrical schematics.

As Diesel Mechanic/Electrician youll be the expert who keeps our diesel-electric locomotives running safely and efficiently. From troubleshooting and repairs to preventive maintenance your work ensures compliance with federal standards and supports the smooth flow of rail traffic. This is the perfect role for someone who loves hands-on technical work and takes pride in precision. If youre detail-oriented safety-focused and ready to make an impact this role puts you at the heart of rail operations. We are willing to train you on locomotives but candidate needs prior experience working on diesel equipment and reading electrical schematics.

  • Troubleshoot maintain inspect and install electrical components like motors generators batteries and control systems to include removing and installing wiring
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical components
  • Troubleshoot and test single- and three-phase electrical systems on diesel-electric locomotives
  • Keep accurate records and reports in compliance with FRA regulations and company policy
  • Collaborate with other employees on repair strategies and project planning
  • Interpret blueprints mechanical drawings and repair instructions
  • Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned
