The Role
The Diesel Mechanic performs diagnostics maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment ranging from light-duty to heavy-duty applications. This role works on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems and plays an important part in keeping customer vehicles operating safely and efficiently. This is primarily a shop-based position offering hands-on variety steady work and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment.


What Youll Do
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service work
Complete bumper-to-bumper repairs on light medium and heavy-duty vehicles
Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical issues
Perform brake clutch drivetrain and transmission repairs
Remove and install differentials and related components
Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate repair progress with the team
Keep tools equipment and work areas clean and organized while following shop safety procedures


What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
Experience performing diesel vehicle or equipment maintenance and repairs
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience working with diesel engines and related systems
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
Valid drivers license with a good driving record
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple repair tasks safely and efficiently
Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety


Preferred Qualifications
2 years of diesel mechanic experience
Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related training
Experience with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
Experience working on light medium and heavy-duty vehicles
