Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Part-Time Illinois

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join an Illinois school district for the school year. This is a part-time in-person opportunity requiring 23 days per week and is well suited for an educator who is passionate about accessible instruction and helping students with hearing differences achieve their educational goals.

Your Role:

You will provide specialized instruction and individualized support based on each students academic and communication needs. The position involves working closely with classroom educators related service professionals school leadership and families to coordinate services and promote consistent support across the school day.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and monitoring progress toward IEP objectives
  • Participating in educational planning and student support meetings.
  • Delivering instruction tailored to students individual learning needs.
  • Adapting instructional methods to improve accessibility and engagement.
  • Encouraging student independence confidence and academic development.
  • Maintaining communication with families and multidisciplinary team members.

Requirements
  1. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  2. Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
  3. Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required.
  4. Bachelors degree or higher in Deaf Education or a related discipline.
  5. Previous experience in a DHH educational setting preferred but not mandatory.
