Position Summary

The DevOps Engineer (Part- Time) supports mission-critical objectives under the referenced work order by designing implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines automating infrastructure management and ensuring scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments. This role creates environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening.

Job Description

  • The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure management.
  • The position requires creating and maintaining environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.
  • Engineers will implement secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools (AWS Secrets Manager Azure Key Vault).
  • The role includes integrating CI/CD pipelines for secure automated deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; or
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Implementing secure high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (Istio Linkerd).
  • Utilizing observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack).

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in Kubernetes Docker Terraform Ansible and CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI/CD Azure DevOps AWS CodePipeline).
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
  • Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP) and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack).
  • Ability to implement STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Preferred Not Required)
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional (Preferred Not Required)
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (Preferred Not Required)
