What Youll Do
As a Developmental Disabilities LPN you will play a vital role in delivering safe effective and person-centered care. Key responsibilities include:
Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications monitor responses and notify physicians when needed
Clinical Care: Perform treatments (e.g. tube feedings wound care first aid topical/ear/eye medications) and evaluate effectiveness
Health Monitoring: Assess individuals health status through vital signs and ongoing observation
Team Collaboration: Respond promptly to health-related concerns communicated by team members
Safety & Compliance: Ensure proper storage and security of medications and treatment supplies
Clinical Judgment: Accurately assess conditions and initiate appropriate interventions
Documentation: Maintain accurate records including MAR/TAR narcotic counts and nursing notes by end of shift
Delegated Nursing Oversight: Supervise and ensure proper administration of medications and treatments by staff
What You Bring
Were seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse with:
Education & Licensure:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program
Current LPN license in good standing
Experience:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Core Skills:
Strong communication customer service and teamwork skills
Sound clinical judgment and decision-making ability
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Leadership:
Supervisory or management experience is a plus
