Position Summary:
We are seeking afull-time Development Coordinator to support the Development and Communications team. The Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing support for database management donor records documenting reporting analytics and general administrative duties. The Development Coordinator works alongside all members of the department to measure the impact of fundraising and outreach efforts through analytics data integrity and offering support with special projects. This role will support the Development office as necessary to cultivate solicit and steward new and existing donors with the goal of raising philanthropic funds for the agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Process gifts prepare gift acknowledgements and document all donor correspondence and funding applications in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Assist the Director of Development and other team members to ensure Salesforce contains complete and accurate records relating to all aspects of fund raising
  • Manage online giving portal (GiveSmart) and support the Director of Development and team with all functionalities of the system
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer to compile and segment mailing lists track activities and analyze results from digital and mailed fundraising and marketing efforts
  • Pull reports for all fundraising and marketing communications including but not limited to solicitations annual reports newsletter mailing digital marketing analytics etc.
  • Assist with the creation & ongoing maintenance of reports including identification of new prospects retention strategies growth opportunities fundraising performance etc.
  • Work with Finance department to ensure accurate weekly and monthly reconciliation and provide information as needed for the annual audit and 990
  • Manage and lead the Development Dashboard reporting which is reviewed on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Create weekly donor stewardship reports and disseminate to the Vice President of Development & Communications along with other members of the team
  • Manage the coordination of the in-kind and wish list program including solicitation efforts processing acknowledging organizing and distribution of items to departments
  • Provide support for the team as it relates to event planning including processing guest lists implementation coordination and reporting
  • In coordination with the Director of Development serve as a staff liaison to the Community Board including recruitment and stewardship of leadership volunteer efforts all meeting logistics and engagement activities
  • In coordination with the Vice President of Development & Communications serve as the Board Resource Development Committee secretary by managing all notes and meeting minutes.
  • Provide administrative support to the Development & Communications team as needed. This will include (but is not limited to) preparing credit card statements etc.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
  • One to two years relevant work experience; or relevant volunteer/internship experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of all platforms within Microsoft Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) required
  • Data entry experience preferred (Salesforce experience a plus)
  • Ability to anticipate team needs and translate to data
  • Strong research analytical and written communication skills are essential
  • Organization skills and the ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines all while paying close attention to detail are required
  • Familiarity with nonprofit work and fundraising preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of consideration for diversity equity and inclusion when analyzing problems identifying solutions and defining success when working with diverse communities
