Job Summary

ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation is seeking a full-time Development and Events Coordinator. This position will play a vital role in the execution of ASKs signature events and community fundraisers soliciting and securing in-kind donations stewarding ASK monthly donors coaching peer-to-peer fundraisers and strengthening ASKs volunteer database. This position will support both the Associate Director of Development and the Senior Special Events Coordinator reporting directly to the Associate Director of Development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execute special events and community fundraisers
  • Assist with coordination and execution of the annual ASK Above & Beyond Gala.
  • Support logistics for the ASK 5K & Fun Walk.
  • Manage inquiries from third-party individuals and organizations wishing to organize an event fundraise and/or host a cause marketing campaign to benefit ASK; serve as the point of contact for third-party events generating less than $10000 in revenue.
  • Represent ASK at third-party fundraising events and community events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and support for toy and snack drives.

Cultivate volunteers and donors
  • Steward ASK monthly donors.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of volunteers for ASK signature events and development team needs.
  • Promote volunteer opportunities through the website social media and community outreach.
  • Build relationships to expand the volunteer pipeline.
  • Coordinate volunteer training to ensure volunteers are trained on their roles.
Solicit in-kind donations
  • Identify opportunities for in-kind donations that support organizational programs fundraising events and operational needs.
  • Research and cultivate relationships with businesses vendors and community partners that may provide goods or services.
  • Solicit in-kind contributions through letters emails phone calls and in-person meetings.
  • Develop annual in-kind sponsorship goals and strategies for signature events and community events.
Education Experience and Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in fundraising development and/or special events.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Sheets Google Docs Google Drive)
  • The ideal candidate is a creative organized intuitive detail-oriented but big-picture problem solver who can effectively coordinate people tasks and resources.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High degree of comfort working with technology from database management systems to social media platforms.
  • Experience with Canva is preferred.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) in-person position based at the ASK Family Center with one remote working day. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Salary Range
The hiring range for this full-time position is $50000 to $53000 annually.
