Developer III Mainframe Support

SYSTEMTECis seeking a Developer III - Mainframe Support for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia SC. Candidatewill provideadvanced mainframedevelopment and technicalsupport forapplication teams witha focuson troubleshooting testing deployment development tools andongoing platform improvements. The rolewill also contributeto modernization initiativesand help translatetechnical challengesinto practical businesssolutions.

Required Qualificationsof the Developer III - Mainframe Support:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevantexperience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development systems testing ora related technicaldiscipline.
• Demonstrated experience working in amainframe development environment
• Strong working knowledge of JCL.
• Experience with SORT/SyncSort including security reporting and data-processing activities.
• Proficiency with DB2/SQL and/orIMS query tools.
• Strong understanding of application development testing integration andtroubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical problem-solvingcommunication and collaborationskills.
• Preferred Skills/Experience:COBOL programming; GitHub; Endevor; IBM DBB; ChangeMan; FreezeFrame; DumpMaster; and experience supporting mainframe modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Developer III - Mainframe Support:

• Troubleshoot development testing implementation and productionissues and recommendeffective resolutions.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to application development teams using mainframe tools utilities and development processes.
• Design develop modify test debug document and maintain applicationprograms and relatedtechnical solutions.
• Support code promotion application testing deployment and implementationactivities.
• Partner with technical teams and customers to identify process improvements enhance developer productivity and support modernization efforts.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards while participating in security support vendor initiatives disaster recovery exercises andbusiness continuity activities.

Work Location: Hybrid/partial onsite schedule with the team working onsiteTuesday through Thursday in Columbia SC.
