We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support digital workplace consulting and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong desktop mobile device and end-user computing experience along with excellent customer service and communication skills.
This role will support field-based and specialized environments including GxP laboratory and R&D spaces while also contributing to customer-focused IT projects and digital workplace initiatives.
Desktop Support & IT Operations
- Provide hands-on and remote technical support for PCs laptops peripherals and mobile devices.
- Provide 2nd-level technical support for field-based and specialized environments including GxP Labs and R&D.
- Troubleshoot hardware software network and system-related issues.
- Take ownership of incidents and work proactively to restore user productivity.
- Manage day-to-day IT activities at the site independently while following company guidelines and procedures.
- Support Apple mobile devices and other mobile technologies.
Equipment Delivery & Campus Support
- Deliver and transport computer equipment between buildings across the campus as needed.
- Operate a company vehicle for campus-related IT equipment deliveries.
- Maintain proper handling and organization of IT equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience with PCs laptops and peripherals.
- Minimum 2 years of onsite and remote technical support experience.
- Minimum 2 years of mobile device support experience; Apple device experience preferred.
- High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Working knowledge of ITIL v3 processes within an IT service delivery environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Drug screening is required.
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required because the candidate may operate a company vehicle to transport computer equipment around campus.
- Education and background screening will be completed through Certiphi.
