SUMMARY

The Desktop Engineering Support Manager leads the strategic planning development and management of new startups and on-site operations (e.g. start ups). This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability security and scalability of technology systems while aligning IT initiatives with business objectives. Key responsibilities include managing IT teams overseeing remote business operations driving digital transformation ensuring cybersecurity and managing IT Project budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of the organizations IT initiatives in alignment with business goals
• Oversees the team strategy and infrastructure responsible for installing configuring and maintaining startups and new business locations
• Oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure including networks systems and applications at field operations
• Manage and mentor Desktop Engineering staff; fostering professional development and ensuring high team performance
• Develop and enforce IT policies procedures and best practices to ensure system security availability and efficiency
• Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect organizational data and systems
• Plan manage and monitor IT budgets ensuring cost-effective use of resources
• Drive digital transformation initiatives to modernize technology platforms and improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with senior leadership and departmental stakeholders to identify technology needs and provide strategic solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations that enhance productivity and scalability
• Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and reliability of IT services and infrastructure
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Communicate effectively in English including reading writing and speaking.
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in desktop engineering endpoint management IT infrastructure technical support or a related information technology function preferred
• Two or more years of experience leading employees technical teams projects or technology implementations preferred
• Experience supporting technology deployments for new locations business startups field operations or geographically dispersed work environments preferred
• Working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware Windows operating systems mobile devices printers peripherals software installation troubleshooting and endpoint support
• Experience with endpoint-management and software-deployment platforms such as Microsoft Intune Microsoft Configuration Manager or comparable tools preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Active Directory Microsoft Entra ID device management user access security groups and related enterprise technologies preferred
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically including the use of electronic devices such as iPads tablets computers and mobile devices.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
