Design Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to support our projects from concept through completion someone equally comfortable producing construction documents in Revit/AutoCAD as they are running a job site inspection. This is a niche hands-on role and were selective about who fills it.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and revise construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD including layouts detail drawings and diagrams.

- Make drawing changes redlines and specification updates as projects develop.

- Prepare presentation drawings and plan options for clients.

- Track submittals RFIs and approvals; review shop drawings and estimates with architects engineers and contractors.

- Coordinate and lead project meetings; manage communications and action items.

- Conduct on-site inspections and field verification documenting quality code compliance safety and progress.

- Assist with permitting across local state and federal jurisdictions.

- Prepare and distribute weekly project updates with progress photos.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Architecture Architectural Engineering Drafting Design or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 10 years of experience in architectural design drafting or construction project management.

- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD plus Microsoft Office and MS Project.

- Solid understanding of drafting techniques construction terminology and general building code.

- Valid New York State drivers license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to work independently manage multiple projects and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.

- Familiarity with owners representation or construction administration is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

- Regular field work including site visits over uneven terrain and in variable weather plus occasional lifting up to 25 to 50 lbs.

- Occasional travel and irregular hours around project milestones.
