Jack Morton is looking for a Design Directorto join our team. Our ideal candidate has a history of developing award-winning Environmental Designs and has experience leading a team of designers. We are looking for someone with the ability to generate thoughtful design concepts that translate into compelling branded live experiences. Stage and event experience are a plus for this role.

• Design immersive compelling 3D environments to house branded experiences

• Present concepts to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

• Immerse yourself in the brand and audience toinspire your design

• Be responsibleorganizedandaccountablethe work of your team

• Understanding of materials building techniques and construction drawings

• Create control packages for estimation

• Understand how to work within budgets and regulations

• Ability to lead and mentor a team

• Communicate feedback to team members in a constructive fashion

• Collaborate within the Creative department and across the organization

• Communicate with clarity confidence competenceprofessionalismand authenticity

• Staycurrent withdesigntrendsand apply them to your work where relevant

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises1-5non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

BA or BFA in Industrial Design Architecture Scenic Design or other relevantdegree; or10years relevant design and experiential marketingexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
