Summary:

• Architects deploys and maintains edge computing and storage infrastructure across more than 20 global edge sites.

• Designs and implements secure VPN connectivity linking edge sites to a centralized multi-site compute and storage hub.

• Manages and optimizes storage technologies including SAN NAS and other relevant storage solutions.

• Configures and maintains networking and server hardware and software in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Oversees management of over 10TB of binary data generated annually per site totaling approximately 200TB of raw binary data across all sites.

• Supports integration and operation of locally developed software tools used for aircraft data analytics.

• Develops and maintains automation scripts and tools using Python and PowerShell to streamline deployment monitoring and maintenance tasks.

• Develops acquisition and spending plans to support infrastructure growth maintenance and technology upgrades.

• Ensures data integrity security and availability across all storage and compute resources.

• Troubleshoots and resolves complex storage networking and server issues across the distributed infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Ability to Obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

• BS Degree or higher in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• At least nine years of experience in designing and maintaining a secure resilient and stable distributed environment consisting of 20 sites.

• Proven experience with storage technologies including SAN NAS and object storage.

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and secure VPN implementation.

• Experience with server configuration and management in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting for development and maintenance of automation tools.

• Experience developing acquisition and spending plans aligned with business and technical objectives.

• Familiarity with edge computing architectures and distributed storage systems.

• Experience in aerospace or data analytics domains.
