Dental Hygientist

HCA Solutions is seeking a Dental Hygienist for the Health Services Department of the FCI Schuylkill located in Minersville PA 17954!

This is a full-time W2 position offering long-term placement health benefits and paid time off.

Wage: $41.66/hr

Work hours will generally be Monday-Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Job Description

• Provide dental prophylaxis (cleanings) to inmates referred by dental staff
• Offer thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient
• Monitor patients oral hygiene and periodontal health during dental prophylaxis
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other dental instruments as required by the dental team
• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with institutional standards
• Assist dental staff as needed in various other duties within the dental department

Education and Experience

• Must be a certified/licensed Dental Hygienist in the State of Pennsylvania
• Must have at least 1 year of experience
• Maintain current CPR certification in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
