SA Recycling South Texas Region is currently looking for an Offsite Demolition lead man to join our Values based organization. This position will be based in our Brownsville TX facility.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the crew by assigning and coordinating daily work activities.
• Support the Foreman/Supervisor in managing workflow schedules and productivity.
• Work alongside the crew and perform the same job duties as needed.
• Identify and resolve routine job-site issues; escalate major concerns promptly.
• Ensure all employees follow company policies safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Train mentor and assist new and existing employees.
• Promote teamwork professionalism and accountability.
• Report safety hazards equipment issues injuries and incidents immediately.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.

Requirements

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test
• Must pass a background check and credit check
• Preferred high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
• Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
• An understanding of the metal market well enough to negotiate pricing delivery process and production demands
• Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business

Job Expectations

Comply with all applicable federal state local & SA Recycling safety health & environmental rules regulations policies & procedures.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience in Supervising others
• Experience in Demolition including the use of tools and equipment

Physical Requirements

Work Environment: Office and Scrap metal yard
Equipment & Tools: Office equipment general tools and training with mobile equipment
Physical Demand Level: Light to Moderate
Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads head turning bending.
Sensory Demands: Hearing vision smell touch and taste
Hand Movements: Repetitive motions typing
