The Mid-Atlantic Division (Kings and Balduccis) has an opening for a Deli Ops Specialist- Food Service The Operations Specialist monitors enforces and supports execution of the division merchandising plan for their department in assigned stores. Train coach oversee and develop store teams within department. This position is a field role with over 80% travel throughout the division. This person will support locations in the north and south. (CT NY) and (MD and VA).

There is some flexible with the location. You can live in NY/NJ Baltimore or Washington DC.

What you bring to the table:


A Day in the Life:

  • Drives sales through plan-o-gram compliance time of day standards execution of variety & merchandising standards
  • Perform resets as needed
  • Trains and hold stores to standards on all new programs and or item implementation
  • Communicate daily with counterparts including. District manager department sales manager store management and department managers
  • Reinforces our service standards and priorities on all store visits
  • Travels to assigned stores working with the Department Manager and staff to share merchandising plans for departments to meet sales gross and labor targets.
  • Works with and counsels department Managers and Store Directors in all aspects of product merchandising and customer service.
  • Visits stores and evaluates overall department presentation cleanliness compliance and program execution to company policy and procedures.
  • Measurers store level performance through department sales gross profit and labor percent.
  • Execute plans measured through store visits reviewing results of plans and observing store department conditions.
  • Determines success of training programs by reviewing and assessing evaluations.
  • Provide work guidance to store associates in areas such as product knowledge sales and marketing techniques understanding of profit and loss and compliance with company policies.
  • Trains department managers basics of the business and managing their department.
  • Provides input to Store Director on Store Department Manager performance.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years as a field supervisor in deli or food service in grocery retail with a strong understanding across assigned department
  • Must possess previous Department Manager and Store Director experience. Take this out the one above is core priority
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills and deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone.
  • Possess marketing orientation good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possess math skills to complete straightforward analysis.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others without directly supervising.

Travel Requirements: Division-wide travel up to 80%.

Pay Transparency:

The salary range is $75000 to $11300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
