Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Full-Time RN to join our team as the Delegating Nurse. In this key leadership role you will lead clinical quality initiatives conduct resident assessments oversee care planning and provide education and support to caregivers. This position plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional resident care maintaining regulatory compliance supporting caregiver development and fostering a positive person-centered environment for both residents and team members.
Essential Duties
- Monitors the effectiveness of nursing practices with managing 24-hour nursing care in accordance with current policies regulations and guidelines that govern skilled nursing facilities.
- Assists the Director of Nursing in the day to day monitoring and supervision of the Health Care Unit and Assisted Living.
- Monitors and provides support and guidance to nursing management to ensure nursing staff are compliant with their respective job descriptions and working within policy guidelines and performance standards.
- Collaborates with HR Department in the orientation process of new hires as well as seeking assistance with managing associate performance deficiencies.
- Assists the Director of Nursing and nursing management with the completion of associate mid-year goal check-ins and annual performance review process. Monitors the accomplishments of associate goals.
- Facilitates in nursing departments Quality Assurance program which includes providing support and guidance to nursing staff for conducting audits identifying problems and developing plans of corrective action.
- Oversees and manages the Employee Education programs and coordinates ongoing education and training according to assigned schedule and provides in-services as needed for facility needs.
- Monitors employee health program and coordinates new hire PPDs assists with associate vaccinations and provides follow up for employee illnesses and injuries as required.
- Ensures that licensed staff complies with written procedures for the administration storage and documentation of controlled drugs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Delegating Nurse/Case Management certificate in the State of MD required or obtained within 30 days
- Current RN License from the State of MD
- Current CPR Certification First Aid Certification within 30 days
- Computer Literacy
