Job Summary
Position Overview
The Delaware Operations Center (DOC) Operator monitors and optimizes oil and gas production across well sites and central facilities from a centralized control room. The role uses Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to track realtime conditions respond to alarms and coordinate field activities so production targets are met safely and efficiently.
You will apply disciplined alarm management and crossfunctional collaboration practices to maintain stable operations reduce downtime and support safe decisionmaking during normal and abnormal conditions.
This is an office-based role with a 7/7 daynight rotating schedule. You will coordinate activities with multiskill field operators and engineering teams to keep equipment running manage product movements and validate production losses so repeat failures are prevented.
Your responsibilities may include:
Monitor and optimize production from the Delaware Operations Center using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems; track pressures flow rates and equipment status to ensure production targets are met.
Apply disciplined alarm management practices (ANSI/ISA18.2) to prioritize respond and document alarms; reduce alarm flooding and improve operator response during abnormal conditions.
Oversee central facility equipment performance remotely (compression separation stabilization dehydration) to maintain throughput and equipment health.
Coordinate crude oil hauling dispatch and product movements to prevent tank overfill trucking delays and sales interruptions; align target vs. actual nominations.
Collaborate with operations maintenance and engineering teams; share real-time data and agree on priorities that improve production safety and reliability.
Track analyze and validate production losses daily and monthly; capture causes confirm corrective actions and prevent repeat events.
Issue and communicate work priorities to multi-skill operators (MSO); adjust plans when conditions change and ensure safe execution aligned with permits and procedures.
Support incident command and regulatory documentation during abnormal conditions and events; ensure records align with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineering for data requests and troubleshooting; share trends and observations to resolve operational issues and improve equipment performance.
Own production and downtime performance in your area of responsibility; drive corrective actions and maintain lease obligations by sustaining production.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Willing and able to meet the physical demands and work environment requirements outlined in this job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in well or production operations.
1 or more years of experience in upstream field operations.
Working knowledge of compression plunger lift rod pump chemical treating and related operations on high and lowpressure oil and gas wells.
Understanding of well control and artificial lift principles.
Experience with gas gathering dehydration compression stabilization and processing.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Proven ability to plan work respond urgently and safely to issues and deliver sustainable results.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
7/7 rotation with 12hour day/night shifts; overtime when needed.
Work in a controlroom environment with multiple screens.
Extended periods of sitting visual monitoring and data entry.
