A respected international law firm is seeking a Trial & Defense Associate to join its Miami office. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate looking to gain hands-on experience handling sophisticated civil defense matters within a collaborative and fast-paced litigation team.

Associates in this practice work on a broad range of litigation matters including high-exposure and complex defense cases across multiple industries.

Associates in this position may work on matters involving:

• General liability defense
• Premises liability claims
• Negligent security litigation
• Wrongful death matters
• Construction litigation
• Automotive accident defense
• Property damage claims
• Product liability defense

Responsibilities may include:

• Conducting legal research and case analysis
• Drafting pleadings motions and briefs
• Participating in depositions hearings mediations and trials
• Interviewing clients and witnesses
• Reporting case status and strategy updates to clients
• Managing day-to-day litigation responsibilities with meaningful client interaction

• 3 years of litigation experience
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Experience handling civil litigation matters in state and/or federal court
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
• Florida Bar admission required
• Strong academic credentials preferred

• Broad exposure to sophisticated civil defense litigation
• Significant hands-on litigation experience

Compensation: $155000$210000 DOE
