Deburrer

Position Summary:

Remove burrs from manifolds using hand tools or automated processes

Duties and responsibilities:

Review work instructions for manifold and determine method of deburring

Manually deburr manifold blocks by hand using files drills scrapers brushes etc.

Prepare thermo deburring machine for run; turn on gas and check connections; load program

Perform safety check on thermal deburring machine prior to operation

Run preliminary job for verification

Load/unload thermo deburring machine

Use hand light to illuminate manifold cavities for hidden burrs

Check completed manifolds for damage and contamination

Stack finished product as directed on work instructions on pallets or crates

Perform other duties as assigned by manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance

Able to sit or stand for long periods of time

Ability to load/unload machines (requires repetitive lifting and bending)

Low sensitivity to sawdust

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Some of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool depending upon the season and noise level can be high

Qualifications :

No prior experience required; 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Some mechanical aptitude

Basic ability to read blueprints

Ability to operate a manual pallet jack preferred not required

Some familiarity with computers preferred not required

Comfort level working around machinery in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English

Must be able to meet quality and entry level productivity standards

Ability to stay on task for long periods of time

Strong attention to detail

Ability to be at workstation on time every day unless otherwise authorized

Additional Information :

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly range for the position is $18 - $20/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
