A premier national law firm is seeking a Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders borrowers private equity sponsors financial institutions and investment funds in sophisticated financing transactions.

36 years of debt finance leveraged finance banking & finance or commercial finance experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience representing banks financial institutions direct lenders private credit funds private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers

Experience handling leveraged acquisition financings syndicated credit facilities asset-based lending cash flow lending refinancing transactions and other secured lending matters

Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements commitment letters security agreements guaranties intercreditor agreements collateral documents and other financing documents

Experience managing financing transactions from due diligence through closing

Experience working on private equity-backed financings corporate finance transactions and cross-border financings is preferred

Strong drafting negotiation analytical organizational and communication skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Premier national Finance practice

Sophisticated lender and borrower-side transactions

Significant client interaction and deal responsibility

Exposure to complex domestic and cross-border financing matters
