Griffith Centers is looking for a Day Treatment Therapist to join our 2026 school year! Our Day Treatment Therapist is a key part of our education program providing trauma-informed services and bridging clinical education and family systems to provide hope and healing for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual group and family therapy services tailored to the needs of youth experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Maintain total oversight of the mental health needs of assigned youth providing ongoing recommendations and clinical follow-up to coordinate service delivery and develop resources to aid effective discharge planning.delivery and develop resources to aid effective discharge planning including family therapy.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support within the classrooms and school setting as needed to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Coordinates the delivery of therapy services on all assigned cases with other staff who are involved with the youth and his/her family.
  • Utilize systemic family therapy and solution-focused approaches to support disengaged or traumatized individuals and families.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology or Child Development from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Professional or provisional license through DORA in the State of Colorado (LPC LCSW LP or LMFT) is required.
  • CDE license in School Social Work is required (or the ability to enroll in the program within 60 days of hire).
  • Minimum of two years experience working with adolescents and their families.
  • Able to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agencys clients and staff.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to transport youth as applicable
  • Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agencys clients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain healthy emotional and physical boundaries in personal and professional relationships
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employmentin accordance withColorado Department of Human Services regulations for childcare facilities. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks fingerprinting sex offender registry searches and abuse and neglect clearances. If the employee has lived in any other state within the past five years equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be addition employeesare required tocomplete a health evaluation or physical examination prior to beginning service to confirm fitness for duty and annually thereafter.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Position requires extensive travel in the local area on a daily basis. Must have reliable transportation.
