Mass Commercial Cleaning Inc. (MCC) is looking for dependable and detail-oriented Day Porters to join our team at Central Massachusetts Collaborative in Worcester.

The Day Porter is responsible for helping maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment throughout the school day. This position requires someone who is dependable observant comfortable working independently and takes pride in keeping a facility looking its best.

• Patrol and maintain the building restrooms and hallways.

• Clean and maintain the front lobby and regularly check restrooms.

• Remove trash and replace liners as needed.

• Monitor building conditions and report maintenance or other issues.

• Perform exterior litter patrols.

• Clean offices and vacuum carpets as needed.

• Assist with cafeteria cleaning during lunch.

• Spot clean scuff marks and other areas in common spaces.

• Maintain a professional and courteous presence while working in an educational environment.

• Follow MCC safety security and cleaning procedures.

• Must successfully pass a CORI and SORI background check.

• Must complete required fingerprinting.

• Reliable and dependable attendance.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and stay on task.

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and facility staff.

• Professional and respectful attitude.

• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with cleaning and maintaining a facility.

• Previous commercial cleaning or porter experience is helpful but on-the-job training is provided.

Because this position is located in an educational environment employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required background screening including CORI SORI and fingerprinting.
