Day Porter (Monday-Friday 800 am 430 pm)

Set Pay Rate: $18.90 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Summary:
The Lead Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and sanitary environment in Child Development Centers. This role provides hospital-grade cleaning services responds to special cleaning requests and interacts professionally with staff children families and government personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Clean and disinfect classrooms restrooms kitchens break rooms and common areas
• Sweep mop vacuum dust and sanitize floors and surfaces
• Clean windows mirrors furniture toys and child activity equipment
• Restock restroom supplies and remove trash
• Respond to special cleaning requests and emergencies as needed
• Operate floor care equipment and perform routine floor maintenance
• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Assist with inventory special event setup and other custodial duties
• Report maintenance issues and follow all safety security and contract requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of custodial experience preferred ideally in a child care or healthcare setting
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Ability to stand walk bend kneel and work independently
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
