DAY CENTER SUPPORT STAFF
Location: HOAP Day Center 694 Church St. NE Salem OR 97301
Job Status: On-Call

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Day Center Support Staff member youll provide direct support to clients by maintaining a safe welcoming environment while assisting with daily operations and service delivery. Through empathy active listening and trauma-informed care youll help connect individuals with community resources encourage personal responsibility and support access to housing healthcare and other essential services. Youll work as part of an integrated team committed to improving the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and engage clients with compassion professionalism and respect.
- Help maintain a safe supportive and trauma-informed environment during daily operations.
- Connect clients with community resources services and referrals.
- Support daily program operations facility cleanliness and shared spaces.
- Monitor the safety and security of the day center while reinforcing program expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Oregon drivers license and proof of automobile insurance
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Food Handler Card
- Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
